Privacy Policy
How CLAT CHAMP handles information in the app, on this website and when you contact us.
Effective date: 5 October 2026.
About this policy
This policy covers the CLAT CHAMP iPhone app, the CLAT CHAMP web version at clatchamp.com/app, and clatchamp.com, including www.clatchamp.com. CLAT CHAMP is operated by Aaditya Sharma, trading as CLAT CHAMP. “We” and “our” refer to Aaditya Sharma. For privacy questions or requests, contact the CLAT CHAMP Team at privacy@clatchamp.com.
Study information
The app stores your optional name, target CLAT year, preparation stage, preferences, answers, unfinished sets, practice and mock-test history, reading measurements, streaks and achievements on your device. It uses this information to run practice sessions, recommend sets, calculate results and display progress. You can use the app without creating an account or supplying your name.
On the web, practice needs a free account, and the web version saves this study information to your account so you can continue on any computer where you sign in; see “Web accounts and Razorpay payments” below. If the sign-in service cannot be reached, the web version may let you practise without an account for the time being. It then keeps the information in your browser’s storage on that computer only, and adds it to your account the next time you sign in. The iPhone app does not send your profile or study history to a CLAT CHAMP server. Neither version includes advertising, third-party analytics or cross-app tracking. It does not request access to your contacts, location, camera or microphone.
Apple purchases
Apple handles subscription payments and payment details. The app uses Apple’s StoreKit service to check verified transaction and subscription information, such as the product purchased, transaction identifiers, expiry and refund status, to grant or restore Premium access. This information is checked in the app; the current app does not send it to a CLAT CHAMP server. We do not receive your card details.
Apple separately handles App Store transactions, device services, backups and any diagnostics you choose to share under Apple’s policies. Restoring purchases restores eligible Premium access, not your study history. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription; manage or cancel it in your Apple subscription settings.
Web accounts and Razorpay payments
Practice on the web needs a free account. To create one you give your first name and confirm that you are 18 or older, or that a parent or guardian agrees, and then sign in with Google or with your email address and a one-time code. If you use Google, Google shares your email address with us and may also share your name and profile picture, which our database provider stores with your account; we use your email address and first name, and we do not use your picture. When you sign in with Google, Google’s sign-in button loads on our sign-in page, so Google receives information such as your IP address and browser details, under its own privacy policy.
For each account we store your email address, an account identifier, and your study information: your first name, target CLAT year, preparation stage, preferences, answers, unfinished sets, practice and mock-test history, reading measurements, streaks and achievements. For Premium we also store your purchase records: the plan, status, end date and Razorpay order or subscription identifier. We use this information only to sign you in, save your progress and restore it on any computer where you sign in, run practice and show your progress, provide and restore Premium, prevent misuse, handle support and billing questions, and meet legal obligations. Accounts, study information, subscription records and Premium content are held with our database provider, Supabase, in its Mumbai (India) region. Sign-in codes are emailed from no-reply@clatchamp.com through Resend, our email-sending service, which may process them outside India. Requests from the web version to our account service pass through a relay we run on Cloudflare at api.clatchamp.com. The relay forwards each request to Supabase and we do not store its contents; Cloudflare, which provides the relay’s network and the domain name service for clatchamp.com, processes this traffic under its own privacy policy.
Razorpay processes web payments. You give your payment details to Razorpay, not to us; we do not receive your card, UPI or bank details. Razorpay tells us whether a payment succeeded and the paid period, and may process your contact details, payment information and device data under its own privacy policy, including for fraud prevention and legal compliance. Signing in keeps a session token in your browser so you stay signed in. When Premium is active, the web version also saves Premium practice content in your browser so it keeps working offline.
When you create an account, the web version also records, once, where you came from: the tag on the link you followed (for example “whatsapp”), or the name of the website that linked to us (its name only, not the full address), and the page you arrived on. We use it only to learn which of our channels reach students. It is stored with your account, only we can read it, and it is removed when you delete your account. It uses no cookies; until you create an account, it is held only in this browser’s storage. The first time you open the Premium plans screen, we also record that you did, and which screen you came from, so we can see whether the plans are easy to find. That record is stored and protected in the same way and is removed when you delete your account.
If you sign in on a browser that already has progress saved without an account, that progress is added to your account. Signing out removes your study information from that browser; it stays in your account.
Website hosting and fonts
The website is hosted on GitHub Pages. Requests to the website provide GitHub with technical information such as your IP address and browser/request details. GitHub processes this information under its own privacy statement, including for serving and securing its services. We do not control GitHub’s retention periods.
The website currently loads fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to request them, disclosing information such as your IP address, browser details and the requested resource. These font requests are part of the website, not the app’s bundled reading screens. Google’s privacy terms apply to its processing.
We have not added advertising, tracking cookies or newsletter forms to the website. The public pages, the blog and the sign-up page of the practice app use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookie-free service that counts page views and visits without tracking individual visitors; it does not run inside the signed-in practice app. Cloudflare’s privacy terms apply to its processing. The other measurements are the one-time source record and plan-screen record described under “Web accounts and Razorpay payments”. Sign-in is described above. Blog search, topic filters and the countdown run in your browser; the site does not send your search text to us. The app’s local study storage is separate from website cookies.
When you contact us
If you email support@clatchamp.com, contact@clatchamp.com or privacy@clatchamp.com, we receive your email address, message and any attachments or details you choose to send. Our email service is provided through Google Workspace. We use correspondence to respond, troubleshoot issues, correct content and handle privacy requests. We do not add support contacts to a marketing list.
Please send only what is needed, and remove personal information from screenshots where possible. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details or identity documents unless an appropriate verification process has specifically been explained to you.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Website hosting, font delivery, web sign-in, the network relay, payments and email involve the providers described above. Their services may process information in countries other than your own, under their applicable privacy terms and safeguards. Study history is uploaded only when you use the web version with an account, and then only to our database provider for the purposes described above.
We may disclose correspondence where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a lawful request or protect against abuse. We do not authorise service providers to use correspondence we entrust to them for their own advertising.
Retention and deletion
Local study information stays on your device for continued use. In the web version without an account, clearing this site’s data in your browser removes saved progress and downloaded content on that browser. You can edit or remove your name in Settings. To remove the app’s local data, use iOS Settings to delete the app, rather than offloading it. This can permanently remove your saved progress. iOS device backups are managed separately by Apple and your device settings; a restored backup may restore app data. We cannot remotely access, recover or delete study information stored only on your device.
We keep your web account, the study information saved to it and your subscription records while your account is open. You can delete your account at any time from Account in the web version, which permanently deletes the account and the study information saved to it and ends any web subscription immediately; or ask us at privacy@clatchamp.com. We delete everything except the payment and invoice records we must keep for tax, accounting or dispute purposes, which we keep only for the period the law requires. We retain support and privacy correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request, related follow-up, security or legal obligations. You can ask us to delete correspondence. Where information must be retained for a legal obligation or an unresolved dispute, we will explain the applicable limitation. Service providers manage their own operational records and backups under their policies.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can use practice without providing your name and can stop using the app or website at any time. To request access to, correction of or deletion of information you have sent us, or to raise a privacy concern, email privacy@clatchamp.com. You may also ask to withdraw consent where our processing relies on it; this does not affect prior lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify a request. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
Your available rights depend on applicable law and may include a right to complain to the relevant authority. We cannot change Apple’s payment records or another provider’s independently held information; requests about those records should also be directed to that provider.
Students and younger users
CLAT CHAMP is an exam-preparation service that may be used by students under 18. The iPhone app has no account registration, and neither the app nor the web version includes advertising or cross-app tracking. A free web account is needed to practise on the web. To create one, a learner gives their first name and must confirm that they are 18 or older, or that a parent or guardian agrees. Premium purchases on the web are intended for a parent or guardian, or for learners aged 18 or over. We use a learner’s information only to provide the practice service, never for advertising or profiling unrelated to their practice. Younger users should involve a parent or guardian before sending personal information by email. A parent or guardian may contact privacy@clatchamp.com to review or delete a child’s account and the information saved to it.
Security, external links and changes
We limit the information requested to what is needed for the service. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device and avoid sharing unnecessary personal information in support messages.
Links to exam sources, legal information and other websites open services governed by their own privacy policies. Opening this policy on the website involves the website requests described above.
We will update this policy when our practices change and revise the date shown here. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website as appropriate, and consent will be requested where required.
