CLAT 2027 Study Plan: The Last 60 Days, Week by Week

A week-by-week plan from 5 October to the exam on 6 December, built around mocks, a weak-section fix and a calm last week. Start at whichever week you are in.

Part of the CLAT 2027 guide

Short answer

How should I study for CLAT in the last 60 days?

Use the weeks before the exam on Sunday, 6 December 2026 in four stages: diagnose with one full mock, repair your two weakest sections, build stamina with full mocks in the real 2–4 p.m. slot, then rest in the final week. If you are starting late, join the plan at the week you are in and keep the order.

The CLAT 2027 plan at a glance

This is an illustrative plan, not an official schedule. Scale the hours to your day and swap in your own weak spots.

Weeks Dates Focus
1 5–11 Oct Diagnose: take a full mock, build an error log
2–3 12–25 Oct Repair your weakest two sections; keep a daily reading habit
4 26 Oct–1 Nov Finish the application before 31 Oct, then mock rhythm
5–6 2–15 Nov Full mocks and sectional tests; fix repeat errors
7–8 16–29 Nov Full mocks in the real slot; revise notes and current affairs
9 30 Nov–6 Dec Light revision, rest, exam logistics

What if I am starting late?

Find today’s date in the table and start at that row. Then do two things first, whatever week you are in:

  1. Take one full mock in the next two days, even if it is rough. It is your diagnosis, and it tells you which two sections to repair.
  2. Check your application. Applications close on 31 October 2026 at 11:59 p.m. See the registration guide.

Do not squeeze the early weeks into a few days. Keep the order (diagnose, repair, mocks, rest) and shorten the repair stage. The rows from week 5 onward stay exactly as they are.

Week 1: diagnose first

Take one full-length, 120-minute mock and review every error using our mock analysis guide. Note accuracy and time by section. Decide your two weakest sections.

Weeks 2–3: repair your weakest sections

Spend most of your study time on the weakest two sections, using short daily sets rather than one long weekly one. Keep a daily passage of reading. Start current affairs notes now and update them weekly. See how to prepare current affairs for CLAT.

Week 4: the application, then rhythm

Applications close on 31 October at 11:59 p.m. Complete and pay well before the last evening. See the registration guide and the fee guide. Then settle into a mock rhythm.

Weeks 5–6: build stamina

Take full mocks and sectional tests. After each, spend as long on the review as on the test, and fix errors that repeat. Compare your scores across several mocks, not one. See how many mock tests to take.

Weeks 7–8: practise in exam conditions

Take full mocks between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., the real slot, with the same breaks and stationery you plan to use. Practise your time budget from the time management guide. Revise your error log and current affairs notes.

Week 9: protect what you have, do not cram

No new topics in the final days. One light mock early in the week at most. Check your admit card (the release date is not announced yet; see the admit card page), your centre and your journey. Sleep on a normal schedule and pack your documents the evening before. See CLAT exam day.

What if I have fewer than 60 days or fewer hours?

Keep the order: diagnose, repair the weakest section, take mocks, rest. Drop the extras first, not the mocks or the review.
