CLAT Exam Day: Timings and a Practical Plan

CLAT UG 2027 is scheduled for 6 December 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The published instructions specify a 4:40 p.m. finish for eligible PwD candidates. Confirm your applicable timing and arrangements in the official instructions.

Before travelling

Read your admit card when issued. Use its reporting time, gate-closing time, centre address and permitted-item list. The exam start time is not your arrival deadline.

Plan the route and allow for delays. Prepare the required documents and permitted writing materials the night before. Do not assume the centre provides secure storage for bags or valuables.

At your seat

Follow the invigilator’s directions about opening the booklet and filling the answer sheet. Check your details and the booklet’s completeness when instructed. Report printing problems promptly.

During the paper

Use the section order and time allocation you have tested in mocks. Budget for transferring answers to the OMR sheet and checking question numbers; do not postpone every marking decision to the final minute.

If you are stuck, compare the time a question is taking with the remaining paper. Move on when appropriate and return if time permits. Guessing has uncertainty even when its mathematical expected value is positive.

After the exam

Use the Consortium’s notifications for answer keys, any objection process and results. Do not assume earlier cycles’ objection fees or refund rules still apply. If an objection window is announced, read its evidence requirements and deadline.

The journey and pacing suggestions here are preparation advice. Your admit card and current official directions govern admission to the hall and conduct during the exam.
